BRIO Builder’s new range is a construction system comprising a wheel loader, dumper and excavator, designed in close collaboration with Volvo CE to ensure they closely resemble their real life counterparts, and all proudly sport livery. Volvo CE signature yellow.
This exciting new partnership should inspire the very young generation of budding engineers, kids aged three and up, who are so often fascinated by huge construction vehicles and align with our purpose to build the world we live in. want to live.
Arvid Rinaldo, Brand Partnership at Volvo CE, said: “We are delighted to see this partnership with BRIO come to life. This is the first time these two Scandinavian brands have collaborated, but we have forged a strong bond, united by a number of common values such as quality, safety, a passion for exceptional design and a commitment to responsibility. environmental. Thanks to a close relationship between teams from both brands, BRIO models have been carefully created to align with Volvo CE’s brand identity.
Construction machines are popular with children for their impressive size, bright colors, and the exciting and important work they do: dig holes, lift and carry heavy loads, and help build the world we live in. Arvid adds: “We are always looking for ways to encourage and stimulate engineering talent in children and with these BRIO construction kits we offer a fun way to explore the world of work, practice hand-eye coordination and develop a love of design and construction. With this initiative, we are helping our youngest to explore the fascinating world of building through play.”
Made from FSC-certified beech wood and high-quality plastic parts and with easy-to-use tools, the Volvo CE wheel loader, dumper and excavator are perfect for little hands. Beautifully crafted, they are also ideal heirloom pieces for generations to come, thanks to the high quality materials and durable design.
The toys feature realistic play functions such as mechanical dumping, lifting and carrying, similar to those seen on real construction machinery, making them ideal for open-ended play. And because safety is one of Volvo CE’s core values, above each machine is a battery-powered amber warning light, like those found on Volvo’s on-board weighing system.
“The play possibilities are endless when kids start building with Builder,” adds Dan Nordlund, Product Designer for BRIO Builder. “And with these new Volvo-themed vehicles, construction play takes on a whole new level of fun. Now kids can build their massive machines, role-play a real-life construction site, then reinvent and rebuild to their heart’s content.
BRIO Builder construction toys will be available from autumn 2022. As part of its work with BRIO, a BRIO Builder station will also be added to the Volvo Museum in Eskilstuna and it is here that a full-size wooden replica nature of the wheel loader will be accommodated when not on display at other events.
