The monthly Jazz is back on the floor next Friday with Luc “Daoud” Klein as a Quartet.
Le Plancher des vaches offers a new jazz monthly this Friday. Around drummer Jimmy Chambert, Luc Daoud Klein. This trumpeter has traveled around the world to share his love of jazz with audiences in Denmark, Morocco, Scotland, Japan… After studying at the Amsterdam Conservatory in 2013, he eventually settled in Los Angeles in 2017. Closer from home, he will be at the Plancher des Vaches to perform standards such as Strasbourg Saint-Denis, Just Friends, Moanin’, I Mean You…
And this trumpet lover is not only a musician. Record producer and director, artistic director, sound engineer, author… He alone covers all the hats, or almost, of the music industry! These different facets have also allowed him to work with various artists. The drummer Dave King, the American punk-folk of Violent Femme, the elegant country singer and guitarist Pokey LaFarge… So many styles that have allowed him to enrich his palette. The albums of his production have been released on major labels such as Black Milk Music or Rounder Records.
This evening, he will perform with Jimmy Chambert, Thibaud Dufoy on the piano, and Clément Juvigny on the double bass, for a groovy jazz evening.
On view from 8:30 p.m. Reservations on 05 53 95 90 15.
