PSG: a last minute way out for Navas?

Now clearly relegated to the role of number two goalkeeper at Paris Saint-Germain, Keylor Navas risks running out of playing time in the months to come. A club from southern Europe could well take advantage of this opportunity to afford the doorman from Costa Rica.

Despite sometimes questionable performances and a few balls, Gianluigi Donnarumma seems to have definitively seized the place of starting goalkeeper of Paris Saint-Germain. This strong choice of Christophe Galtier obviously does not suit Keylor Navas. The former Real Madrid goalkeeper may have to settle for meager minutes on the lawns in the coming months.

During the past season under the mandate of Mauricio Pochettino, the Costa Rican had played 21 matches in Ligue 1 and 3 in the Champions League. While the summer transfer window has been closed for two weeks in France, it is still open in certain areas of the Old Continent. The clubs of the Greek championship thus still have the opportunity to find some reinforcements for 24 hours.

Keylor Navas proposed to Olympiakos

Among them, Olympiakos could well offer a way out for Keylor Navas. According to Greek journalist Nikos Kostis, the capital team would have offered the 35-year-old doorman to the Piraeus club in the form of a loan. The Reds and Whites have already recruited some prestigious names in recent days. Among them are even two old acquaintances of Navas, James Rodriguez and Marcelo, his former friends from the Merengues.

Could this convince the last bastion of Costa Rica to pack its bags from the City of Light to the ancient city? The answer will be known in the next few hours. A small clue, however, has been revealed by the first interested party in the last few hours. Keylor Navas has indeed made it known, via his Instagram account, that he was looking for a school for his three-year-old son in Paris. A way to show his attachment to the French capital?
