On this occasion, the CEO, Jensen Huang, is expected to present the next generation of GeForce RTX graphics cards, dubbed RTX 40 series. This generation succeeds the cards RTX 30 series currently available.

For the moment, the manufacturer has not communicated any details on these new cards, but rumors indicate that the RTX 4090 model could launch in October, while the RTX 4080 model is scheduled for November.

The RTX 4090 would be the most powerful of the new series with a total of 16,384 CUDA cores and 24 GB of GDDR6X memory. It would have a base frequency of 2,235 MHz, a boost frequency of 2,520 MHz and a TGP (Total Graphics Power) of 450 W. The RTX 4080 model would have 9,728 CUDA cores and would be available with 12 or 16 GB of GDDR6X memory. It would have, depending on the version, a TGP of 340 W or 285 W. Finally, the RTX 4070 card would have 7,680 CUDA cores. Its TGP would be 285 W. Ti versions are also to be expected, with more power as a result.

Of course, all these specifications are to be taken with a grain of salt and we will have to wait for the manufacturer’s official announcement to find out what the future GeForce RTX cards in the 40 series have in store.
