NFF Elections: NFSC’s Loud Call for Future Board

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) has tasked the new Nigeria Football Federation Board with taking Nigerian football to the next level when elected on September 30, 2022.

The request was made by the National Chairman of the NFSC, Reverend Samuel Ikpea, during a press conference which took place at the club’s National Secretariat in Surulere, Lagos. Ikpea, who spoke to reporters, regretted that the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the local Eagles are not present at the Qatar 2022 World Cup and CHAN, which will be held in Algeria next year.

He added that the declining performance of national teams has become a major source of concern for members of the club, and that this should not be compared to a nation of 200 million people, where talent is readily available.

5 pillars to revive football

The NFSC boss listed the points to which the new board must pay particular attention: football development, partnership with sincere youth academies, support for the development of local leagues, adequate attention and revival of grassroots football, such as the main cup and the recruitment of quality coaches, among others.

Mr. Ikpea was quick to add that the new board must also give due attention to the welfare of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club which has invested a lot over the years in rendering selfless service. to ensure that national teams are not left alone when they go to play matches.
