Morocco in 6th position with 12 medals

Morocco occupies the 6th position in the medal ranking at the end of the first day of the 6th edition of the International Moulay El Hassan meeting of para-athletics organized until September 17 at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.

At the end of this first day, Morocco has to its credit 12 medals, including 1 in gold, 6 in silver and 05 in bronze. Morocco’s only gold medal was won by Abdelfattah Bammou in the 100M – T54 (Men) event.

The leaders of the national team aspire to occupy the first position in terms of medals during this sporting event of international scope.

Brazil occupies the first position in the medal table at the end of the first day with 14 medals, including 8 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze, followed by Namibia with 10 medals (4 gold, 1 in silver and 5 in bronze) and Iran with 7 medals (3 in gold, as many in silver and 1 in bronze).

Tunisia is ranked 4th with 3 gold medals, followed in 5th position by Poland with 2 gold medals.

Placed under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the 6th edition of the Moulay El Hassan international para-athletics meeting is part of the series of Grands Prix, under the aegis of World Para Athletics.

Organized by the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sports for Persons with Disabilities (FRMSPH), in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, this sporting event has the participation of around 400 athletes representing 40 African countries. , Asian, European and the American continent, in addition to 105 referees.
