Mbeumo and Wissa carry Brentford against Leeds

On Saturday night in the Premier League, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa were decisive in Brentford’s 5-2 win over Leeds.

The move was bittersweet for the Whites as the home side managed to break them down especially in the second half. First Ivan Toney scored twice for the opener after half an hour and two minutes from the break.

Then Leeds’ reaction was swift, with Luis Sinisterra reducing the score in injury time before half-time. After the break, Toney scored his hat-trick of the evening after twelve minutes, but Marc Roca (79th) reduced the score again for Leeds.

However, it only took a minute for Mbeumo to double their lead again, synonymous with Brentford’s fourth goal, before the Cameroonian international came off in the 83rd minute against the entry of Wissa. The Congolese international from the DRC only needed 3 minutes to shower the last hopes of the visitors to come back to the score and celebrate his birthday (26 years old) at the same time.
