In this message, the King indicates that he learned with “deep sadness of the death of Your mother, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. May she rest in peace”.
In this sad circumstance, the Sovereign expresses, in his name, and in that of the royal family and the Moroccan people, to King Charles III, to all the members of the august royal family and to the British people his sincere condolences and his deep sympathy.
The King implores the Almighty to grant them strength and comfort in the face of this tragic loss.
In these most difficult circumstances, the Sovereign remembers, with great esteem, “the qualities and merits of this illustrious Queen who stood, invariably, as a symbol of the greatness of the United Kingdom, devoting Her whole life to the services of his country”.
“Under the reign of this exceptional Monarch, the United Kingdom has achieved much progress and prosperity and acquired great stature both regionally and internationally,” wrote the King in this message.
With the disappearance of Queen Elizabeth II, the Kingdom of Morocco has lost a “great special friend who was deeply respected”, underlines the King, adding that the Queen “is particularly keen to strengthen the long-standing friendship between our two centuries-old monarchies “.
