ironed laces, lukewarm bath, breakfast… The little habits of the new king

Elizabeth II, who will be buried on Monday, was known to be easygoing. This would not be the case for his son, the new King Charles III. In a week of reign, the sovereign has already been seen losing his temper in front of a misplaced inkwell. And according to the testimonials of some former collaborators a little talkative, the new monarch would be full of little habits.

As Prince of Wales, Charles’s nickname would have been the “coddled prince”, the one for whom everything must be done, according to former employees who spoke to different foreign media, before Charles became king. According to them, the demands of the new monarch would begin in the morning. Wherever he went, Charles would travel with his breakfast box containing seven types of honey, a particular muesli and its dried fruits.

While Charles would enjoy his breakfasthis employees would iron his pajamas and shoelaces. But they have plenty of time to do it since Charles would not have lunch at noon, which would force his employees to always have a small snack for themselves in their pocket.

Charles’ fads not being confined to breakfast, Charles would like to conclude each meal with cheese on small toasts which must be heated to a certain temperature. A prince and now a traveling king must be able to feel at home everywhere and also relax with a good lukewarm bath since apparently Charles likes not too hot water in a half-filled bathtub.
