In September, the choir of Figeac starts beating again

From its inception in 2014, and supported by the municipality, the choir of Figeac, directed by the English composer and conductor Peter Nowfèl, its creator, has endeavored to present a quality vocal ensemble. Over the years, it has acquired an eclectic repertoire wishing to show the always attentive and present public the extent of the musical universe available to everyone, at the same time baroque, classical and contemporary, in religious and secular registers. Under the artistic direction of Peter, the choir has performed very regularly, most often accompanied by the Camerata chamber orchestra, made up of around ten musicians.

The long musical interlude, due to the sanitary conditions in force, did not dull the enthusiasm of its members and the more than warm welcome, shown by the public present at the concert which closed the season on Sunday May 22 in Conques, demonstrated the qualities that this choir has both musically and in terms of the presence of the choristers, under the magic wand of their choirmaster.

This is why conductor Peter Nowfèl encourages people with singing skills who wish to join the choir to contact him on the site: www.peternowfel.com.

Rehearsals take place every Thursday, from September to the end of June, at the Salle Roger Laval.

The concert dates for this 2022-2023 musical season will be communicated soon.
