Presentation of the season, leaving residence, workshops for children… After a few weeks of rest, CIRCa is starting up strong with several free meetings in September.
Again this season, to the delight of Auscitains and Gersois, CIRCa has concocted a “multidisciplinary program with theatre, music, dance and circus. There are a little more than thirty proposals this year, not counting the exits from residency”, announces Laure Baqué. “Between the months of September and June, there will be very regular meetings at the Circassian Research and Innovation Center (CIRC)”, insists even the secretary general of CIRCa.
For good reason, CIRCa is celebrating the building’s 10th anniversary this year. In this regard, “we wanted to highlight the CIRC because it is an exceptional tool for work, for welcoming the public and artists. We want to make it rediscover to the public, including the places they don’t usually go to. For this season, unlike other years, we decided to do everything in the CIRC building,” says Stéphanie Bulteau. Starting with the season presentation evening which will take place on Thursday, September 15, at 7 p.m., and which will definitively launch the 2022-2023 season (free entry / without reservation). “We want to find the public, to share this tool with them again and to party for the start of the school year”, confides the director of CIRCa, who announces with a smile on her face “a surprise presentation”. Words that should arouse curiosity…
The Raoul Lambert company at the Dôme on September 8
Two other meetings are also to be noted on the agenda in September. First, on Thursday September 8, at 7 p.m., the Raoul Lambert company will offer a residency outing at the Dôme (free entry / without reservation). “We are starting the season with this company, it arrived on August 30 and is working on a project around mentalism, circus and cinema, entitled: Désenfumage 3”, reveals Laure Baqué. “Residence outings are events appreciated by the public. He can see projects being created and attend the presentation of long-term work,” she adds. As part of this residency, a bridge has also been created with Ciné 32. In this respect, the film Rubber will be screened on September 6, at 9 p.m., before a meeting and discussion time with the artistic company.
The following week, on Wednesday September 14, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the now monthly event, since last year, “Pirouette Circaouette”, will sign its return (free entry / without reservation). “It’s a meeting place for children and families around shows, meetings and workshops”, recalls the director of CIRCa. On the program for this first meeting: a fun behind-the-scenes tour of the CIRC, cove challenges, a raffle, a workshop draw your CIRC and a snack…
In September, behind the scenes, the CIRCa team will be in battle order to complete preparations for the 35th CIRCa Festival which will take place from October 20 to 29.
