Galatasaray pushes for Osame Sahraoui

Galatasaray are pushing to snatch Osame Sahraoui from Vålerenga before the end of the Turkish transfer window this Wednesday, September 8. The Oslo club is clear that a transfer of its Moroccan is not on the agenda.

However, rumors have increased since yesterday when Osame Sahraoui failed to show up for Vålerenga’s training day claiming he was ill. Some believe that he is preparing his transfer to Istanbul, especially since Sahraoui was still absent in Oslo on Wednesday.

Sporting director, Joacim Jonsson, responded to the allegations: “Osame feels better. He hopes to be in training tomorrow (Wednesday)” he explained before adding: “We look forward to his return. There is no great drama. It’s easy to think differently right now. I understand these rumors because Galatasaray have made an offer.”

The in-form Vålerenga player has become a hot name at Galatasaray, days before the transfer window closes. After their brace in the 3-1 win over Lillestrøm on Sunday, interest from the big Istanbul club has become more significant. VIF had concrete talks with Galatasaray directly on Tuesday evening. The Turks reportedly presented a package worth around 25 million Norwegian kroner with various bonuses and clauses included.

However, the latest offer didn’t satisfy the Norwegian club’s management. The Oslo club are demanding a lot more money, in addition to various guarantees to reach an agreement.
