Core i7-13700T rivals Core i5-12600K on Geekbench 5

Not bad for a 35W TDP chip. It also beats the Ryzen 7 5800X at 105W TDP.

Earlier this month, our colleagues at WCCFTech published a list of 14 Raptor Lake references. Among the processors displayed, the Core i7-13700T, a 16 core (8+8) / 24 threads at only 35 W of TDP. This chip made a few runs in Geekbench 5. It achieves multi-core scores quite close to those of the Core i5-12600K and higher than those of the Ryzen 7 5800X.

On three inputs, the Core i7-13700T scores between 1,893 and 1,939 points in single-core and between 8,925 and 11,564 points in multi-core. Its highest score puts it ahead of the 8-core/16-thread Ryzen 7 5800X based on Zen 3 architecture and 105W TDP. In addition, the Raptor Lake cannot boast of more efficient DDR5 memory, since it works with DDR4-3200.

Comparisons

The VideoCardz site has compiled the results obtained by several references. As you can see, if the Core i7-13700T is ahead of the Ryzen 7 5800X in this benchmark, the successor to the Zen 3 chip, the Ryzen 7 7700X under Zen 4 architecture, enjoys a comfortable lead, both in single-core and multicore.
