Conference in Larache on the latest developments in the question of the Moroccan Sahara

A conference on the latest developments in the question of the Moroccan Sahara and the role of Moroccan Jews in defending the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, as well as the contribution of other Moroccans around the world, was organized on Tuesday in Larache, at the initiative of the Moulay Abdeslam Ben Mchich Association for development and solidarity, in coordination with the Relief Organization for Sahrawis in the Tindouf camps.

The speakers at this meeting, which took place in the presence of researchers, academicians and presidents of elected bodies, were unanimous in emphasizing that the defense of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom is the cause of all Moroccans, noting that the new diplomatic dynamic currently undertaken by Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, constitutes a major turning point in the process of defending the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, and has prompted many influential countries in the world to adopt the Moroccan autonomy initiative as the most credible and realistic solution to this artificial conflict.

They noted that the defense of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom draws its strength and its broad presence from official diplomacy, which has proven its effectiveness and strong impact, but also from the effectiveness and dynamism of Moroccans around the world, whose Moroccan Jews who place the first national cause and their love for their homeland at the center of their concerns.

In this context, the Moroccan Saharawi activist, Noureddine Bellali, stressed that Morocco’s position on the Moroccan Sahara issue is “excellent, after the recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara by influential countries, in particular the United States, and the change in Spain’s position, in addition to several Security Council resolutions adopted in recent years in favor of Morocco”, noting that several countries in the world have adopted the Moroccan position and opened consulates in Dakhla and Laayoune , which constitutes a “positive change auguring the final victory”.

Regarding the recent Tunisian position, Mr. Bellali assured that “this position will in no way change the attachment of Moroccans to the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, but it has plunged Moroccan-Tunisian relations into useless labyrinths, since it constitutes an impulsive stance and an attempt to hide the country’s difficult internal legal and political situation,” noting that Moroccans draw strength in defending their root cause from law, history and emotional connection.

“The Tindouf camps are a space created by Algeria, in which it put our cousins to isolate them from the world, and break their ties, and their love for their motherland and the Moroccan sultans,” he said. said.

Mr. Ismaili Ould Sidi Mouloud indicated that Morocco, with all its components, is working to bring its sons together, and the proof is that the Moroccan people warmly welcome all immigrants and returnees, noting that “the Green March has constituted a miracle through which Moroccans recovered part of their homeland without arms or violence”.
